About Kelvin Grove

Kelvin Grove is a vibrant, friendly and modern inner city suburb located 3km from Central Brisbane. The neighbourhood is home to QUT Kelvin Grove and is the number one suburb of choice for both QUT Kelvin Grove and Gardens Point Campus students. Located in the inner north side, there is plenty to do that’s less than a minutes’ walk away. The University and Urban Village is centred on Musk Avenue, which is where the you’ll do the majority of you eating, drinking and shopping.  QUT students can also take advantage of the free bus shuttle between campuses which can also be used as a free ride into the city.

Culture

The Local area has everything a student could want or need; including great cafés (even a few late night ones) to help with those long study sessions, parks and walking tracks. If you want some of those hard to find ingredients, the local Asian specialty grocer or Italian Delicatessen will help you recreate that family recipe! Kelvin Grove Urban Village is where you’ll do most of your shopping, but there are also plenty of *FREE* things to do each week - perfect for any student’s budget.
